Price on Yanmar 1500

I found a YM1500 older model, very good condidtion, seat not worn, motor & all parts real clean, runs great. Comes with a garden tiller & 4' Box blade, selling for $1900.00, I don't anything about this brand - Is this a good price?

Just inherited my fathers 1500 about 3 mouths ago.
My suggestion is start going though the old messages.
There is a lot of good info on this discussion broad and a couple others ones on the web.

Bwillie,

Put a 60” finish mower behind the tractor and there is definitely a difference in cutting with it than my 42” lawn mower.
Mowed about 7 acres with the a new finish mower hardly used any Diesel fuel in the tractor, but know I would have had to fill my lawn mower gas tank twice maybe three times. Never know there would be a difference in fuel usage.

I wouldn't have thought so either. Right now I've got more clearing to do before I'm to that point. I'm looking for a 4' Bush hog, I found one for $175.00 close by, I hope it's in real good shape like the tractor is. Thanks for the advice & I'll keep it in mind when I'm ready for a finish mower.

It varies like anywhere else, most other 4' bush hogs are going for $465.00-$550.00 new. But why spend that if I can find a good, cheap used one. Where are you located? ....
